In accordance with its statutes, the art collection of the VAF Foundation consists of works by modern and contemporary Italian artists, distinguished both by its excellent level of quality and its quantitative dimension, resulting from a rich spectrum of stylistic tendencies and a considerable plurality in its holdings. In addition to examples of ‘classic’ modern art, the most recent programmatic inventions of media ideas and strategies are also represented. Underlying this passionate and committed initiative is a vast collection

of outstanding works of Italian art, covering the art-historical period from the beginning of modernity to contemporary trends, with masterpieces ranging from Futurism to Metaphysical Painting, through 20th century art and Abstract Art to other currents that appeared after 1945.
Among the more than 2000 works inventoried, there are also outstanding and conspicuous examples of Italian Modernism, covering a time span from the early 1900s to the 1940s.
